The Pet Manager Story: Global Scale, Personal Heart

Every great piece of software starts with a problem that needs solving. For us, that problem was a massive, double A3 paper register sitting on the front desk of a local pet resort back in 2013.

From a Paper Trail to the Cloud

Our story began in Coolum Beach, Australia. While I and my team at my IT firm, OJ Networks, were building a website for a local boarding facility, we noticed something startling: the entire business—hundreds of bookings, customer and pet information and vaccinations —was being managed entirely by hand.

When we searched for a digital solution to help them modernize, we found that the existing options were either stuck in the past or just not built correctly. I knew there had to be a better way, so we decided to build it. What started as a custom tool for one kennel has since evolved into a leading management suite used by facilities worldwide.

This transition was my commitment to the global pet care community to make Pet Manager the most comprehensive tool on the market

    Pet Manager is amazing! We took over a boarding cattery that was using a pen and paper booking … More system. We knew we needed to change that very quickly and I'm so happy I found Pet Manager. Ian walked me through the system and set up various aspects for me, while also pointing out settings I could customise later if I needed to. The Xero and Stripe integrations are brilliant and make life so much easier. Support has always been efficient. They've thought of everything with this software. I can't imagine boarding cattery life without it (actually I can, but the thought makes me hyperventilate). It's money well spent. Thank you, Ian and the team!
